What is Khoj-Finance all about?
Predicting Stock performance has been an interesting field.Analysts have played around with the weirdest of indicators - Length of skirts(Skirt Length Theory), Snow in Boston(Boston Snow Indicator), Production of aspirin(Aspirin Count Theory) etc to predict the performance of stocks.We have taken a 'less weird' approach and read the stock related information to give a sentiment score to the stock.So, let us say we have financial information like-
"Next few years are good for Auto-sector, with the Loan-rates and fuel-prices expected to drop.In view of these changes, ESB motors is planning to increase production."
A statement like above indicates something positive happening on ESB motors and we expect the stock to be heavily transacted, based on the above news alone.We analyze all such finance articles, which talk about companies/stocks and give a relative score to each article.
This score we hope would help fine-tune a trader's decision making.
( P.S: ESB is a mythical company.Do not invest in it, as we do not expect fuel-prices to drop on Mother-earth, even in the long-term.)
